Things are a little more familiar for the Franklin County Marching Pride Band this football season. Director Christopher Sampson is in his second year at the head of the band, so his returning band students know what to expect from him.

After a first season that began in a rush and ended with a 3-7 record, with three very close losses to good teams, the Franklin County Lions and Head Coach Paul Sutherland are looking to go farther in 2019.

Lions open 2019 season on the road at Indians

The 2019 Franklin County Lions football season kicks off Friday at 7:30 p.m. in The Reservation in Toccoa. The Lions will face one of their most familiar foes and biggest rivals, the Stephens County Indians, a squad that is looking to build off of a playoff appearance last season.
