Mexican industry to bring 20-plus jobs

CARNESVILLE  – A Mexican company that builds equipment for poultry houses will be the very first industry to open in the Central Franklin Industrial Park.

Kool Farm LLC signed papers Tuesday to purchase 10 acres in the park for a $2 million facility that will make cool cells for the poultry industry.

Kool Farm is a part of a parent company named Klean Air, based in Torreon, Mexico.

The new Carnesville plant will be the first in the U.S. for the company.

The plant will initially employ 20-24 workers and will also use robot technology, Executive Director Tonya Powers of the Franklin County Industrial Building Authority (IBA) said.
