Pleasant Hill Baptist Church – Christmas Concert titled “An Evening to Remember” Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. Snacks and Christmas cider will be served beginning at 5 p.m.
City of Canon – Tree Lighting Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at Canon City Park. Refreshments will be available and entertainment will be provided by Canon Baptist Church.
City of Lavonia – Christmas Tree Lighting Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Lavonia Gazebo. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served and Burl Ives’ classic “Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer” will be shown.
City of Royston – Christmas in Royston and tree lighting Dec. 3 from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Royston. The event will incldue shopping, carriage rides, children’s activities and a holiday market.
Franklin County Middle School – Christmas chorus concert Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Telford Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. The FCMS chorus will perform selections of Christmas music. The concert is free.
City of Franklin Springs – Christmas Tree Lighting Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at Franklin Springs City Hall. The event will include finger foods, crafts, carriage rides, smores and carolling.
City of Carnesville – Christmas Tree Lighting Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at Carnesville Community Center. A pot luck supper will be served during the event.
City of Lavonia – Christmas Festival Dec. 6 from 5:30-8 p.m. in the downtown area around the Gazebo and East Main Street. The festival will feature food, arts and crafts, entertainment, miniature pony carriage rides, inflatable jump house, Santa Claus and more. Those interested in being a vendor may contact the Lavonia DDA.
Faith Lutheran Church – Christmas Cookie and Craft Sale Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church at 691 Benson St. in Hartwell. Homemade cookies and a variety of stocking stuffers, crafts, and decor will be available for purchase.
Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartwell – Holiday Bazaar Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Items for sale will include homemade gifts such as jewelry, wood crafts, wreaths, home décor, Christmas ornaments, direct sales, food and more. This is a fundraiser for Hart Life Pregnancy Care Center. Proceeds from the breakfast and lunch will be donated to the pregnancy center. A hot chocolate bar will be available. City of Canon – Christmas Parade Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. The route will begin at the City Park on Depot Street and continue onto Highway 17 until just past City Hall.
New Hope Baptist Church – Live Nativity Dec. 7 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the church at 6731 Mize Road in Toccoa. Along with the telling of the Christmas story, there will be refreshments, roasting of marshmallows, a children’s craft activity and singing.

Franklin County High School – Christmas concerts Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Telford Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. The FCHS concert, symphonic and jazz bands and the chorus will perform selections of Christmas music. The concert is free.
Savannah River Productions Inc. – second annual Celtic Christmas Concert Dec. 13-14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Swails Center Auditorium at Emmanuel College. Savannah River Productions is looking for members for the Celebration Choir. They will perform five songs as part of the concert. Vendors for a Christmas Bazaar that takes place at the same time are also sought. Shopping takes place from 5 p.m. until the concert time, during intermission, and 30 minutes after the show. Booths are free but must be reserved in advance and are limited to three tables. Tickets to A Celtic Christmas are on sale and are $22 adults, $20 seniors, $5 students, $18 groups of eight or more. Franklin Community Players – Breakfast with The Grinch Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. at the Lavonia Cultural Center.
