BOE gets field of 32 applicants for superintendent
CARNESVILLE – The applications to be the next superintendent of Franklin County Schools are in.
The deadline for applications was Sunday at midnight.
According to Franklin County Board of Education Chairman Robin Cato, the school system has received a total of 32 applications.
“We haven’t seen any of the applications yet,” Cato said. “Now that the application process has closed, GSBA (Georgia School Board Association) is going to take all of the applications and put them into a tier system for us based on the requirements the board has set. When I spoke with Dr. King (Sam King, director of the superintendent search team with GSBA), he thought it may take them two weeks to go through the tier system process, along with checking the applicants’ references.”
