LAVONIA – The Lavonia Boat Expo will welcome spring Saturday by highlighting Lake Hartwell for recreation and leisure living from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in downtown Lavonia.
New boats for fishing and cruising, gleaming new trucks and classic antique boats will be displayed on East Main Street.
A wide variety of vendors will offer fishing tackle, marine services and products, home improvement and indoor and outdoor décor.
Visitors will find information about boat rentals, dock and shoreline maintenance, landscaping, real estate, insurance and boating safety.
Exhibitors will give away freebies and hold drawings for visitors to take home some swag.
Children will enjoy a complimentary super slide.
Satellite events are a pop-up mart behind the Gazebo and a nature and wildlife art exhibit hosted at Sweet Combs of Honey.
Lavonia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5897 will sell poppies to fund its charities and services.
Restaurants and shops are offering sales and specials.
A half-dozen restaurants in strolling distance from the Gazebo offer menus from coffee and snacks to barbecue, burgers, pizza and tacos.
The Step of Faith ministry, known for their grilled selections, will be the boat show’s featured food vendor.
Local stores in the heart of town feature everything from pet supplies to the hottest fashions to treasures for the home.
Parking and admission are free.
The Expo is being held in conjunction with Lavonia Downtown Development and Welcome Center.
