Canon — The Canon Harvest Festival will be held Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Canon.

The city postponed the festival due to the threat of bad weather from Hurricane Ian.

It had been scheduled for Oct. 1.

On Oct. 15, Depot Street will be filled with both craft and food vendors for the event.

Local entertainment is scheduled to perform throughout the day, with Country River Band taking the stage from 7-10 p.m.

Wanda Morgan of Canon’s Downtown Development Association was excited for the dunking booth that the Canon Fire Department would have at the event.

She said she personally challenged the fire chief, city council members and the mayor to spend time in the booth — she’ll match every 10 minutes they spend sitting in the booth.

The event also plans to include inflatables for kids from Jumpingwithus, as well as a cake walk and Bingo.

The festival stretches up Depot Street from the fire department to Highway 17.
