CARNESVILLE – The Franklin County Historical Society will host a Historic Fall Festival Oct. 29 starting at 10 a.m. at Carnesville City Park.
The day will be filled with activities, demonstrations and contests, including a pumpkin carving contest.
Contests require an entry fee to participate.
Activities will include:
• a demonstration by the Franklin Rangers at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.;
• a cakewalk at 11 a.m.;
• field games, including a sack race and tug-of-war, and board games at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.;
• cake, pie, jam and jelly contests at 4 p.m.; and
• pumpkin carving at 6 p.m.
The Georgia/Florida football game will be available beginning at 3 p.m.
The event will conclude the movie Hocus Pocus showing at 7 p.m.
